Sutomore is a tiny town but nevertheless it is very popular among tourists. It is a resort place located between Bar and Petrovac cities.
Located in a small bay Sutomore is surrounded by vineyards and olive woods. Hospitality and benevolence are the main characteristic features of this place making tourists prefer Sutomore to other perhaps more comfortable and modern resorts. In the morning the resort guests are welcomed by the salesmen from the old fish markets and at nights one can’t but be fascinated by the neon-shining night clubs.
As for the historical monuments Sutomore has something to offer. In the west part of the town there is a Turkish fortress called Haj-Nehaj (Fear – No Fear). In the east there is an old church of St. Fyokla built in the 14th century and a small peninsula called Ratach (located between Sutomore and Bar) that hosts the ruins of St. Maria Benedictine Monastery dated the 13th century.
