Becici, which is situated 2 km away from the coastal town Budva, can be considered as one of the most popular resorts of Montenegro – the main tourist industry of the country is situated right here. In point of fact, Becici is a small fishermen’s village, which was transformed into the modern hotel complex, which has the great, wide, suited to every fancy selection of cafes, restaurants and shops. It’s easy to get to Budva on foot or on train for tourists, which runs between these localities every half an hour and stops near almost all of the hotels situated there.
The international commission awarded Becici with the “Grand Prix” for the most beautiful European beach in 1935 in Paris. This place is still famous for its warm and clear sea and brilliant pebble beaches, on which many sport (volleyball, basketball, tennis) competitions often take place. In addition, the water sports competitions and paragliding are really popular, too. The beach football tournament called “Pro Beach Soccer” takes place in Becici every year and is attended by the famous football players from all over the world.
